Biography
Polish (Prussian) teacher and botanist from Wrocław who graduated in natural sciences from the University of Wrocław (1850) and was employed locally as a high school teacher. As a botanist he mainly studied bryophytes, particularly in the region around Merano (Trentino-South Tyrol, Italy) where he visited the spa (1861-1864) because of a chest ailment.
