Biography
Danish botanist who collected plants in Brazil. Peter Clausen adopted the name Pedro in South America, and the labels of many of his collections bear the misspelt surname Claussen. He died in Dartford, London, in an asylum in 1872. He should not be confused with the mycologist Peter Claussen (1877-1959).
