Notes
Gutenbergia petersii Steetz in Peters, Reise Mossamb., Bot. 2: 348 (1864) may be an earlier name for this species judging by the description of the achene, but the leaves are described as being linear-lanceolate and the phyllaries acuminate-aristate. However, as the type is presumably destroyed this species must at present remain of doubtful identity.
