Information
A shrub up to 2 m. high. Young branches narrowly 4-winged, brown, the old ones terete, with greyish brown irregularly fissured bark. Leaf-lamina 1·5–1·5 x 0·5–2·7 cm., elliptic or obovate, obtuse or roundish at the apex, cuneate at the base, discolorous (green on the upper face, yellowish-green beneath), coriaceous, longitudinally 1-nerved, the nerve impressed above, prominent beneath, the transverse ones inconspicuous; petiole c. 2 mm. long. Cymes up to 2 cm. long, up to 12-flowered; inflorescence-axis up to 8 mm. long; peduncle up to 6 mm. long; pedicels up to 3 mm. long, bracteolate at the base with bracteoles c. 2 mm. long. Flower-buds biconical, c. 3 x 2·25 mm., acutely apiculate at the apex. Receptacle obconical, c. 2 mm. high and c. 3·5 mm. in diameter, contracted above the base; lobes c. 2 mm. wide and 0·5 mm. high. Petals c. 3·5 x 2·5 mm., thick, keeled, triangular, with a scarious whitish margin. Stamens with filaments c. 5·5 mm. long; anthers c. 2 mm. long, with a minute dorsal gland. Ovules 11; style 8 mm. long. Fruit unknown.

On recent sandstones.
