Shrub or small tree 2·5–5(12) m. tall. Bark pale grey, smooth. Leaf-lamina 4 x 2–11 x 5·5 cm., chartaceous, broadest at or near the middle, apex nearly always bluntly subacuminate, base usually cuneate, sometimes rounded. Flowers in (1)3–9-flowered fascicles. Style-head 2-fid.
