Information
Trailing perennial herb, with a number of radiating flexuous stems up to 1 m long; younger parts with a ± dense subappressed or generally shortly spreading indumentum. Leaves 3-foliolate; leaflets mostly 1.5–6.5 × 0.8–3.2 cm, oblanceolate, elliptic or obovate, acute to rounded or retuse with a short recurved apiculum, chartaceous, glabrous and glossy to densely hairy above, ± silky and often silvery tomentose beneath; petiole 3–10(20) mm long; stipules 3–8 mm long, subulate to acuminately triangular, spreading or recurved. Racemes terminal and leaf-opposed, sometimes aggregated into pseudopanicles by reduction of the foliage on upper branches, up to 2.5–5 cm long, subumbelliform, 3–6(10)-flowered; bracts mostly 2–4 mm long, linear or linear-lanceolate; bracteoles inserted on the pedicel, similar to the bract. Calyx 5–9 mm long, with a dense covering of short mostly appressed hairs; lobes narrow, 2–4 times as long as the tube. Standard subcircular or oblate, blue or white inside, reddish and usually pubescent outside; wings yellow, practically as long as the keel; keel 7–9 mm long, abruptly rounded to subangular in the lower half, with a short only slightly incurved beak. Pod subsessile, 1.2–1.6 cm long, oblong-ellipsoid, with a short dense appressed or spreading indumentum outside, usually with hairs inside at least along the suture, 4–6-seeded. Seeds c. 3 mm long, oblique-cordiform, smooth.
