Notes
Three fruiting specimens (Phelps 102 (K; SRGH) from Kariba and Lovemore 239 (K; SRGH) from Wankie, S. Rhodesia and Banda 361 (BM; SRGH) from Zomba District, Nyasaland) have slender petioles up to 2 cm. long and a tendency to produce very small lateral leaflets. They have the fruits of C. pyracanthoides and have glandular petioles and leaves. By analogy with the variation of leaf form in C.madagascariensis they are probably not a distinct species but forms of C.pyracanthoides subsp. glandulosa.
