Information
Annual; culms weak, 15–30 cm. high, decumbent and rooting at the nodes below, rambling above. Leaf-blades linear-lanceolate, 1–3 cm. long, 2–5 mm. wide; sheaths smooth, or pubescent near the top, not scabrid. Racemes 2–4 cm. long. Spikelets lanceolate, 3.5–4 mm. long; lower lemma acuminate to a slender awn 3–5 mm. long; upper lemma acute, mucronate.
Range
DISTR. U3 known only from Uganda
Altitude range
2300 m.
Distribution
UGANDA Mbale District Mt. Elgon, Butandiga, 9 Dec. 1927, Snowden 1228!
Notes
Possibly no more than a variant of S. petitiana.
