Pedicels 1–4 mm. long. Calyx-tube 2–2.5 mm. long, glabrous to sparsely scabrid; lobes broadly linear, 0.25–1.1 cm. long, 1–1.2 mm. wide, acute, mostly ciliate with very short hairs. Corolla white or tinged with purple on tube, with carnation-like scent; tube 2–3.7 cm. long; lobes (0.5–)1–1.5 cm. long, (1.5–)4–8 mm. wide, acute. Anthers 1–2 mm. long in long-styled flowers, 2.1–3 mm. long in short-styled flowers. Style 1.6–2.2 cm. long in short-styled flowers and 2.1–3 cm. long in long-styled flowers; stigma-lobes 2.2–7 mm. long. Capsule 4.5–7 mm. long, 4–5 mm. wide, glabrous to sparsely very shortly puberulous, shiny inside. Seeds elliptic, flat, 1.5 mm. long, 1 mm. wide. Fig. 31, p. 247.
