Information
Usually erect or somewhat straggling herb up to 1.5 m. tall; stems sparsely to fairly densely hairy. Leaves ovate or frequently ovate-lanceolate to elliptic-lanceolate, glabrescent to hairy; petiole short to quite long. Flowers in few-many-flowered heads which usually become quite open and spicate in fruit, often quite showy; corolla-tube 1.3–2.2 cm. long; lobes 5.5–8.5 × 2.5–4 mm.
