Notes
E. chalarothyrsos merges with 32, E. inamoena and 34, E. paniciformis. It is distinguished from the former by its broader ovate spikelets, though the division is somewhat arbitrary for both ovate and narrowly oblong spikelets may sometimes be found on the same plant. It differs from E. paniciformis in its scaberulous palea-keels and exposed rhachilla.
