Information
Annual herb 15–90 cm high; young branches glabrous. Leaves narrowly ovate to narrowly obovate, 3.5–8.5 cm long, 0.5–2.5 cm wide, base attenuate, margins serrate, apex obtuse to acute, glabrous; 3 main veins from base; petiole absent or up to 17 mm long. Glomerules solitary at the nodes, sessile, 9–18 mm in diameter; phyllaries absent; paleae 2.5–4 mm long. Florets white or slightly pink because of pink anthers, female florets absent; disc florets 1.5–2.5 mm long. Achenes obovoid, 1–1.5 mm long, slightly hairy and glandular near the apex; pappus a ring of basally connected hairs 0.1 mm long.
