Capitula radiate, numerous in copious congested to lax spreading terminal compound corymbs; stalk of individual heads pubescent or arachnoid; involucre 3–5 mm long, 1.7–2.5 mm in diameter; bracts of calyculus 3–6, 1–3 mm long, arachnoid or pubescent at least on margins at apex; phyllaries 7–8, green with brown tips, 2.5–5 mm long, glabrous or pilose or arachnoid. Ray florets 5–8, corolla tube 2.5–3 mm long, hairy at apex or glabrous, rays pale to bright yellow, 3–5 mm long, 1–2.2 mm wide, 4-veined, spreading; disc florets yellow turning red-brown, corolla 4–6 mm long, tube expanded above the middle, glabrous, lobes 0.5–0.7 mm long.
