Information
Annual herb, 3–10 cm high in the Flora area, up to 60 cm elsewhere. Stem simple or branched from the base or at inflorescence, angles smooth, minutely winged. Leaves sessile, oblong-lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, 3.5–15 mm long, 2–5 mm wide, acute. Inflorescences 2–3-flowered cymes, sometimes flowers solitary; pedicels 10–28 mm long, variable; bracts narrowly lanceolate or linear-lanceolate, acute. Flowers 5-merous, cream, yellow or white. Calyx almost divided to the base; segments linear-lanceolate, 5–7.5 mm long, 1–1.5 mm wide, acuminate, margins hyaline; wing to ± 0.3 mm. Corolla tube cylindrical to narrowly funnel-shaped, 6–6.5 mm long, swollen at anthers, ± minutely scaly; lobes ovate to oblong, 1.3–2.5 mm long, 0.4–1.5 mm wide, apiculate to obtuse. Filaments 0.8–1 mm long, inserted well below the middle of the corolla tube; anthers up to 0.9 mm long; apical gland ± 0.3 mm long, surface beset with minute scale-like projections, basal glands 2, minute, stipitate. Ovary ellipsoid, 2.5–3 mm long, 1.5–2 mm diameter; style 0.8–2 mm long; stigma 0.8–1.8 mm long, clavate, long papillate. Capsule ellipsoid, 3.5–5 mm long, 2–4 mm diameter. Seeds numerous, ± 0.3 mm in diameter, reticulate-pitted.
