Information
Procumbent woody herb or shrub with trailing branches to 3 m long; branches white-villous or pubescent. Leaves aromatic, silvery grey, sessile, spatulate, 0.6–2.5 cm long, 0.5–1.5 cm wide, base attenuate, margins serrate to almost lobed, apex acute, villous, glandular. Capitula solitary, terminal on short shoots, subsessile; phyllaries ovate to narrowly ovate, 3–6 mm long, 1–2 mm wide, acute, pilose distally. Florets mauve; outer florets 20–40, in several series, tube 3.5–4 mm long, lobes 0.2–0.3 mm long; style 3.7–5 mm long with long filiform branches; inner florets 13–17, with almost cylindrical tube 4.5–5 mm long, lobes 0.8–1.2 mm long, anthers 1.8–2 mm long, style 5.5–6 mm long. Achenes triangular or flattened, 1.3–1.6 mm long, 3-ribbed, sparsely pilose; pappus of few (usually 1 in the outer florets, 3–4 in the inner ones) white barbellate bristles 2–4 mm long.
