Information
Perennial herb, 0.3–1.2 m high, the stems sometimes woody at base, often straggling or scandent; stems reddish, pubescent. Leaves aromatic, ovate or cordiform, often basally slightly 3–5-lobed, 1.5–8 cm long, 1–7 cm wide, base cordate, thinly pubescent in young leaves, rapidly becoming sparsely pilose on both surfaces, sparsely glandular beneath. Capitula 8–18 mm long;phyllaries 6–7 mm long. Florets with tube of outer florets infundibuliform, 1.2–2 mm long, ray 5–13 mm long, sparsely glandular beneath, style 2.8–3.3 mm long; inner florets with tube narrowly infundibuliform, 1.9–3.3 mm long, lobes 0.5–0.7 mm long. Achenes 0.9–1.5 mm long, glabrous; pappus absent, only a narrow rim visible.
