Information
Shrub, often scrambling, up to 2 m tall; young branches densely ferruginous- hairy. Leaves ovate to broadly elliptic, 4–13 cm long, 2–7.5 cm wide, acuminate to acute at the apex, cuneate to rounded at the base, margin evenly serrate, ± glabrous except for a stellate pubescence on the veins above, sparsely to densely pubescent beneath; petiole 3–12 mm long, densely ferruginous pubescent; stipules subulate, up to 6 mm long. Inflorescence a terminal or axillary 2–6-flowered cyme, axes densely hairy; peduncle 4–10 mm long; pedicels 6–12 mm long. Flowers white; sepals 14–19 mm long; petals lanceolate, 5–12 mm long, 2–3 mm wide. Androgynophore glabrous for 1–2 mm at the base, densely pubescent and produced for 1.5–2 mm above the node; stamens 7–9 mm long; ovary ± 1.5 mm long, densely hairy; style 7–10 mm long. Fruit (1–)4-lobed, 11–12 mm wide, the lobes 6–7 mm long, 5–6 mm wide, glabrous.
