Leaflets sparsely to densely pubescent, typically obovate. Inflorescence (2.5–)5–10(–12) cm. long.

DISTR. U 1–4; K 1–7; T 1–8 E. Zaire, Sudan, Ethiopia and N. Somalia, south to South Africa (Gauteng and Kwazulu-Natal)
Altitude range
?0–2250 m.

Radlkofer (E.P. IV, 165: 522 (1932)) synonymises A. fischeri with A. alnifolius but Gilg’s original description mentions that the leaflets are densely grey tomentose beneath and small; it belongs here I think.
