Information
Rootstock stout. Stems and stipules striped with purplish lines. Midrib of leaflets brown or purplish-brown beneath. Corolla blue, large; standard 0.9–1.1 cm. long, 6 mm. wide; keel 1.2–1.3 cm. long.
Range
DISTR. T4 known only from the type gathering
Altitude range
1710 m.
Distribution
TANGANYIKA Kigoma District 57.6 km. S. of Uvinza, Bullock 3276 !
Notes
This plant has strikingly larger flowers than var. capitulifera but the general habit and calyx are very similar. I have hesitated to erect a new species on a single gathering under the circumstances.
