Information
Scandent shrub or small tree 3–6 m. high. Young branchlets, petioles and rhachides ± puberulous; older branchlets longitudinally striate. Leaves: petiole 0.5–2.9 cm. long; rhachis 1.7–7 cm. long; pinnae opposite, 2–4 pairs; leaflets 4–9 pairs, (0.5–)0.7–2.1 cm. long, (0.3–)0.6–1.5 cm. wide, rhombic-ovate or -obovate, rounded or slightly emarginate and mucronate at apex, glabrous or almost so except on midrib beneath. Racemes 2–6.5 cm. long, on peduncles 0.7–2.8 cm. long; pedicels 1.5–4 mm. long; axes and pedicels densely and shortly pubescent; bracts linear-lanceolate, acute, not enlarged at apex. Flowers white. Calyx 0.75–1 mm. long, densely and shortly pubescent. Petals 2.5–3 mm. long, densely puberulous outside. Stamen-filaments 4–5.5 mm. long. Ovary densely hairy. Pods 7–11 cm. long, 1.3–1.8 cm. wide, attenuate below, blackish when dry, obliquely ± longitudinally striate. Seeds about 8 mm. long and 5–7 mm. wide.
