Leaf-blade narrowly oblong to lanceolate in outline, up to 39 x 12 cm, 1–2-pinnate; pinnae linear to lanceolate or narrowly ovate, entire, cordate at the base, articulated at the apex of the petiolule, ± densely pilose (in Somalia) or glabrous; veins free; rhachis and up to 25 cm long petiole dark brown to black, pubescent.
Range
S1 Ethiopia, Sudan and southwards to Mozambique.
Altitude range
250 m.
Distribution
SOMALIA Thulin & Bashir Mohamed 7101; Paoli 1236.
Notes
First record for Somalia. The plants of the Somali collections have simply pinnate leaves.
