Referring to Prain's request for plants from the Seventh Annual List of New Plant Introductions, Dorsett is sending Prain the material noted on the enclosed lists [folios 379 -382]. Dorsett is unable to send Prain a plant of Castanea mollissima, as the material is growing in a section which is infected with the chestnut bark disease. Prain has been placed on a list to receive a plant of this species next season. Postscript states Correspondence should be addressed to Mr David Fairchild, Agricultural Explorer in Charge. The enclosed lists state that stock was sent from Yarrow, Chico, Brooksville and Miami.
