[Letter to Hooker at Glasgow] Boott sends a volume [not attached] and congratulates Hooker and Mrs Hooker on the birth of their child. They are all well and Mrs Boott sends her best regards, he asks to be remembered to Frank and Robert. In a postscript, dated 10 Nov, Boott states that he packed up the volume to send to 'T & W' [Treuttel & Wurtz?], when he received a letter from his friend in Edinburgh asking him to write something for a new journal. Boott has translated the memoir of Michaux at the end of the volume. He hopes that Hooker will excuse this liberty as illness has had claims on him.
