Jenman writes to introduce his friend Mr Wolseley a planter and estates proprietor in Guyana who until his departure lately from the colony was a member of the Court of Policy and has for some time been on the Board of Directors of the Gardens. Wolseley is one of few people in the colony who takes an interest in plants in general outside of sugar cane and he wishes to see the great RBG Kew and its herbarium. Jenman would be much obliged if someone could show him around. As a postscript Jenman notes Wolseley has just returned from Peru to report on sugar estates for a firm of London brokers.
