Description
Scott thanks Hooker for the packet of seeds of the Argan[?] tree, forwarded through the Colonial office. He has distributed them to several people to give them a better chance of succeeding. Scott regrets that he has been unable to obtain the produce and flower of the Gutta percha tree, as Hooker requested, as the tree is not known to be on the island. He will, however, try to obtain a specimen from the mainland and forward it to Hooker. Page 1 of 3.
