Primari forest patch along road, on steep slope among limestone boulders above small stream. One species of Chamaedorea in proximity. Solidary palm. Trunk 2.4 m long, erect, 7.8 cm DBH, armed with root-spines densest basal adventitious roots forming a cone of prop roots ca 10 cm high, ca. 18 cm in diameter at ground level. Leaves 16 living, 6 dead and pendulous; petioles ca 1.5 m long, split basally; blades palmate with 23 - 24 segmente per half; central segment ca 70 cm long; lateral segments 53.0 - 54.0 cm long. One old, dead infrutescence, ascending at emergence through a split petiole base, then deflected.
