Information
Rhizome up to 7 mm. in diam., short, creeping, with tufted fronds and with linear-attenuate subentire dark-brown shining rhizome-scales up to 4.5 mm. long. Stipe ebeneous, up to 20 cm. long, terete, glabrous except for a short pubescence on the ventral surface in the upper half. Frond erect and arching, coriaceous. Lamina up to 36 x 34 cm., triangular in outline, 2-pinnate with the basal pinnae developed basiscopically; upper pinnae and pinnules of lower pinnae up to 6.5 x 1.5 cm., lanceolate, sometimes falcate, entire, attenuate, with cordate bases articulated to the apices of their petioles or petiolules; veins anastomosing, obscure; rhachis and secondary rhachises ebeneous, shortly pubescent ventrally, glabrous dorsally. Sori forming a marginal soral line; indusium continuous, entire, membranous.
