Names
PSEUDOLITHOS horwoodii Bally & Lavranos [family ASCLEPIADACEAE], (1974);. type N3; 50 km east of “Sinugif” on road to “Eil”, Lavranos & Horwood 10152 (FT, holo.). Fig. 125A–C.
Information
Stems square in section with rounded sides, up to 80 mm tall and 45–60 mm wide, tapering abruptly towardsthe base, the sides with undulate swellings between the inflorescences and prominent large tessellations regularly spaced along the stem angles. Inflorescences few-flowered, on reduced side-branches; pedicels erect, stout, up to 7 mm long. Corolla 7–8 mm wide, fleshy, entirely glabrous, rotate-campanulate, almost devoid of tube, with slightly ascending lobes, yellow with copious purple markings. Outer corona bright green, cup-shaped, with very shortly 2-fid lobes; inner corona-lobes yellow, broad, truncate, closely incumbent on the anthers.
