Information
glabrous, the young twigs microscopically puberulous; leaves ovate or ovate-anceolate, acute or obtuse, 3-nerved at the base; peduncle terminal, 1–3-flowered; calyx-lobes 8–10, setaceous, nearly twice as long as the tube; corolla-lobes 8–12, lanceolate, acute; tube 1 1/4–1 1/2 in. long. Very closely allied to J. glaucum, from which it differs in the scarcely perceptible indumentum of the twigs, and the more numerous calyx-teeth and corolla-lobes, both of which latter characters however vary.
