The S. L. Welsh Herbarium at Brigham Young University (BRY) was founded in 1923. Its collection contains specimens from around the world, with strong emphasis on the Great Basin and Intermountation West. The Herbarium is recognized as a major regional center for the study of Western American plants and is equally important as resource for student research and learning.
