The Herbarium ARAN was created to house the knowledge of the flora of the Basque Country and neighboring territories when it was founded by the Department of Botany Aranzadi Science Society. ARAN Herbarium holds 80,000 sheets (77% databased) of 11,500 species of vascular plants from Basque Country and surrounding territories. It also includes type material.
