Information
Shrub, up to 1(–1.5) m tall; young stems appressed pubescent. Leaf-blades lanceolate to ovate, 1.2–7.5 x 0.3–3 cm, acute to rounded at the apex, cuneate to truncate at the base, subglabrous to densely puberulous; petiole 1–8(–12) mm long. Spikes 1–7.5(–10) cm long, with many pairs of flowers; peduncle up to 8 mm long; bracts elliptic to ovate, subglabrous to densely puberulous, the lower 8–15 x 2.5–8 mm, acute to acuminate and with a pungent tip. Calyx 3–5 mm long. Corolla pale blue to bright blue; tube 4–8(–10) mm long; lobes 6–13 mm long. Capsule 8–12 mm long. Seeds smooth and shiny.
