bulb globose, 1 in. diam.; leaves 6–10, erect, semiterete, glabrous, 6–9 in. long, tapering gradually to the point, channelled down the face, plain or spotted; peduncle 3–6 in. long; flowers in a dense subspicate raceme 1–3 in. long, about 5/8 in. diam., all erecto-patent; bracts minute, adnate; perianth campanulate, 1/6 in. long and broad, white or tinged with bright red, especially on the back of the outer segments; inner segments a little longer than the outer, spreading at the tip; stamens as long as the perianth or slightly exserted. null
