Information
Annual herb; stems prostrate or twining, up to 2 m or more long, densely pilose with white or yellowish hairs. Leaf-blades 3–13 x 3.5–13 cm, mostly deeply 3-lobed, cordate at the base, acute to acuminate at the apex, green and ± spreadingly pilose above, densely covered with white cottony hairs beneath; petiole 1–7 cm long. Cymes few–several-flowered; peduncle 1.5–7(–15) cm long; pedicels 5–15 mm long; bracts lanceolate, 5–7 x 1–2 mm. Sepals lanceolate-acuminate, 10–22 x 1.5–3 mm, pilose and glandular. Corolla pink, mauve or blue, 1.2–2 cm long, pilose in upper part. Capsule ovoid, c. 8 mm long, pubescent at the apex. Seeds ovoid, c. 4.5 mm long, mostly densely white pubescent.

S1 widespread in tropical Africa and India.
