Information
Perennial herb, caulescent, stem ± 3–4 cm. long, densely pilose. Leaves alternately erect and dense at the top of the stem, horizontal or deflexed and less closely arranged on the lower part of the stem; lamina 4–8 x 3–4 mm., obovate to spathulate, glandular towards the margin above, pilose below; stipules 2–4 mm. long, membraneous, lacerated at the apex; petioles 0·5–1·2 x 0·05–0·1 cm., pilose above and densely pilose below. Peduncles 1–2, 10–17 cm. long, erect throughout their length, glandular and pilose below, glandular above. Inflorescence 2–8-flowered; pedicels 2–7 mm. long, glandular; bracts 2–3 mm. long, almost linear, pilose. Sepals 5, 3–4·5 x 1·5–2 mm., connate at the base, ovate to elliptic, glandular. Petals 5, 7 x 4 mm., bright pink, obovate. Stamens 5, filaments 4 mm. long. Ovary 2–3 mm. long, subglobose, glabrous; styles 3, 2 mm. long, 2-partite to the base. Seeds numerous, 0·3 x 0·2 mm., black and shining, ovoid, testa smooth.
