Information
Tree 6–10 m high, with umbrella-shaped crown; bark grey with the outer surface peeling off and papery. Leaves with small deciduous subulate stipules; pinnae (1–)2–5 pairs; leaflets (4–)6–15 pairs, elliptic-oblong, 10–35 x 4.5–20 mm, appressed puberulous on both surfaces. Racemes 4–9-flowered; bracts small, deciduous before flowers open. Upper petal 4.2–5.5 cm long, bright yellow; other petals ± 2.8–3.5 cm long, white; all, especially the upper one, ± distinctly tapering and pointed at apex. Filaments 3–4 cm long. Ovary glabrous or nearly so, except for some pubescence on margins and stipe. Pods 15–24 x 2.5–3.5 cm. Seeds oblong-elliptic, flattened.
