Information
Slender scandent herb. Leaf-blade broadly ovate in outline, cordate, asperulous or scabrid, 2.5–9 x 2.5–13 cm, deeply palmately 3–5-lobed, lobes elliptic to broadly elliptic, sinuate-serrate, sometimes lobulate, the central largest; petiole 0.5–5.5 cm long, strigose or scabrid. Stipule-like bract almost circular, 6–20 mm in diam., finely ciliate. Male flowers 3–20 in pedunculate racemes. Peduncles 0.5–3.3 cm long. Pedicels slender, 1.5–2.5 mm long. Hypanthium obconic, c. 2 mm long. Perianth as in male flowers. Fruit subglobose, slightly oblate, 1–1.5 cm in diam., smooth, red, usually 2-seeded. Pedicel 2.5–7 mm long. Seeds 7.5–11 mm long, not or scarcely bordered.
