Notes
The Ugandan material has large fruits, 11.5–13.3 cm. wide, and glabrous leaves, leaf-rhachises, etc., but until more is known about the variation they seem best placed here. A specimen Cribb et al. 11155 fromT6 (Ulanga District, Sali, Ngongo Mt., 23 Jan. 1979) was referred here by Davies but the fruit is rounded.Radlkofer gave petals 6 and rudimentary ovary 6-locular in the description of C. atroviolaceus .
