Information
Tuber ± strongly depressed-globose. Leaf: petiole up to 1 m long, mottled; blade up to 1.2 m in diam., with terminal segments lanceolate to obovate, 5–19 x 1.5–2.5 cm. Peduncle 30–70 cm long, usually spotted. Spathe 15–30 cm long; tube depressed-globose, constricted at the apex, warty inside towards the base, greyish-purple to greyish-brown and ± spotted outside, purple inside; limb ± ovate-triangular with undulate margins, inner surface purple. Spadix 27–50 cm long or more, much longer than the spathe; appendix narrowly elongate-conic, purple to brown; staminate part 2–4.5 cm long; pistillate part 1–3.5 cm long. Stamens 1.4–2 mm wide. Pistils c. 2.5–3 mm long, 2(–3)-celled; stigma sessile, 1–3 mm in diam., shallowly 2(–3)-lobed.
