bulb globose, 1 1/2–2 in. diam., copiously soboliferous; tunics membranous; leaves 6–10, linear, glabrous, 1–1 1/2 ft. long, 3/4–1 in. broad near the base, tapering gradually to a long point; peduncle 2–3 ft. long, moderately stout; raceme very lax, 1/2–1 ft. long; pedicels ascending, cernuous at the tip in the flowering stage, lower 2–3 in. long; bracts lanceolate-acuminate, 1–1 1/2 in. long; flowers inodorous; perianth 3/4–1 in. long, pale yellow, broadly banded with green; outer stamens sterile; style prismatic, 1/3 in. long; apex conic, subentire. null
