Information
Subshrub, up to c. 25 cm tall; stems, leaves and calyces densely covered with short spreading hairs. Leaves ± narrowly elliptic, 6.5–20 x 2–6 mm. Flowers subsessile or on up to c. 1 mm long pedicels. Calyx 6–9 mm long; lobes 3–6 mm long; bracteoles 2.5–4 mm long. Corolla pale violet, pale blue or almost white, drying purplish black; tube c. 12 mm long with a campanulate outer part; lobes c. 4 mm long. Stamens included; anthers with the longer theca c. 4 mm long. Fruiting calyx up to 10–13 mm long with finally ± spreading bracteoles.
