Names
TRIUMFETTA effusa E. Mey. [family TILIACEAE], in Hb. Drege
Information
herbaceous, tall, diffusely branched, rough with rigid, stellate hairs; lower leaves. .. .? upper tricuspidate, rounded at base, acuminate, all stellately pubescent and rough on both sides, unequally toothed and jagged, 5-nerved; peduncles clustered, bracteate above the middle, 1–3-flowered, longer than the flower; pedicels half as long as the tomentose sepals; stamens 10, glabrous; capsules hispid, their prickles ciliate at base, glabrous above, hook-pointed. Closely allied to T. Vahlii, and perhaps not distinct. The inflorescence is much more lax, and the peduncles longer than in the allied species. The leaves resemble those of T. angulata, Lam.
