Information
Caespitose perennial. Culms ± 1 m. high, erect, tough. Leaf-blades up to 50 cm. long and 5 mm. wide, usually flat, setaceously acuminate. Panicle narrowly oblong, 15–45 cm. long, loose; branches slender, flexuous, densely spiculate towards the tips. Spikelets 4–6(–7)-flowered, narrowly oblong, 6–11 mm. long; glumes 4.5–6.5 mm. long; lemmas narrowly elliptic, 5 mm. long, pilose with hairs ± 2 mm. long on the lateral nerves; awns 5–7 mm. long.
