Information
A tree up to 10·5 m. tall; branchlets brownish, striate, lenticellate. Leaves up to 50 cm. long, (5) 7–11-foliolate; petiole and rhachis brownish, up to 38 cm. long, glabrous or shortly appressed-pilose, striate; leaflets opposite or subopposite or alternate, 5·5–13 × 3–5·5 cm., subcoriaceous, elliptic or oblong-lanceolate, subequal, acuminate at the apex, with an often falcate acumen c. 1 cm. long, conspicuously undulate at the margin, obtuse or sometimes acute and asymmetric at the base, petiolulate, petiolule 3–7 mm. long, canaliculate above, convex and rugose beneath; midrib impressed and sometimes appressed-pilose above, raised beneath; lateral nerves 10–12 pairs, arcuate and anastomosed near the margin, slightly raised above, more so beneath as also the reticulation. Panicles up to 30 cm. long, terminal, pyramidal, many-flowered, with the axis and branches densely rufous-pilose; pedicels short. Male flowers: calyx c. 1 mm. long, 4-dentate; petals 3 × 2 mm.; stamens with filaments up to 3 mm. long and broad ellipsoid anthers c. 1 mm. long; disk 1·5 mm. in diam., densely reddish-pilose. Female flowers like the male but a little larger; staminodes with filaments c. 1 mm. long and anthers c. 0·5 mm. long; ovary 3–4 mm. long, ovoid, densely appressed-reddish-pilose; styles 3, c. 1 mm. long, reflexed on the ovary. Drupe unknown.

In evergreen forests.
