TRICHODESMA glabrescens Gürke [family BORAGINACEAE], in Engl. Jahrb. xxx. 389.
Information
Stems glabrous, 1 1/2–2 ft. long. Leaves sessile, broadly lanceolate or rarely oblong, 2–3 in. long, entire, acute or acuminate, glabrous on both surfaces. Cymes with very long pedicels and linear bracts. Calyx glabrous; lobes broadly lanceolate, very acuminate, 8 lin. long. Corolla 2/3–1 in. long, white, with 5 long brown marks; lobes broadly deltoid, mucronate. Anthers 6 lin. long, villous on the back, with a long twisted tip.

German East Africa Mozamb. Dist. Kinga Mountains, 7000 ft., Goetze, 1267.
