[A tree at Idanre, S. Nigeria (Keay&Onochie FHI 21568) is close to this species but the leaflets have rather fewer main lateral nerves and are slightly less densely hairy beneath. This tree needs further study; possibly it is a hybrid between T. lanata and T. heudelotii.]
