Information
Aforesttree, to 120 ft. high, with fluted bole up to 9 ft. in girth, bark smooth, slash exuding abundant latex; the large green infructescences are often abundant on the trunk and larger branches; Aubréville states that some cultivated trees produce infructescences up to 50 cm. diam. and weighing up to 15 kilograms.
