Information
Tree to 10(–15) m tall, with a large spreading crown; bark greyish, fissured; young branchlets tomentose. Leaves alternate; blade obovate, up to 16 x 10 cm, obtuse to subacute at the apex, attenuate to rounded at the base, sericeous-tomentose when young; petiole 1–2(–4) cm long. Flowers white or cream, glabrous outside, appearing with the leaves, in tomentose spikes up to 12 cm long. Fruit 2.5–6 x 1.7–4 cm, broadly elliptic, reddish, glabrous; stipe 5–7 mm long.
