Names
TEPHROSIA muenzneri Harms [family LEGUMINOSAE-PAPILIONOIDEAE], in E.J. 45: 310 (1910); Brummitt in Bol. Soc. Brot., sér. 2, 41: 381 (1968). Type: Tanganyika, Ufipa District, Msambia [Msamwia], Muenzner 197 (B, holo. †); Chapota, Richards 13368A (K, neo.!, EA, iso. !)
Information
Resembles T. dasyphylla subsp. amplissima but the petiole as distinct from the 1–3 mm. long basal pulvinus is absent, the unifoliolate leaves are up to 10 cm. long and 5 cm. wide, the calyx-teeth hardly longer than the tube and the young pods are definitely downwards curved.
