Names
SUAEDA micromeris Brenan [family CHENOPODIACEAE], (1953);. type: N2, between “Las Anod” and “Hudin”, Glover & Gilliland 1119 (K holo.).
Information
Subshrub to 60 cm high; young stems pubescent becoming glabrescent, internodes short. Leaves alternate, sessile, very small and fleshy, ellipsoidal, 0.7–1.5 x 1–1.3 mm, base and tip rounded, green. Flowers very small, sessile, bisexual and female mixed; bisexual flowers 1.5–2 mm in diam., female flowers c. 1 mm diam. Perianth segments ovate–oblong, c. 1 x 1 mm, convex. Filaments 0.25–1 mm long; anthers c. 0.7 x 0.5 mm. Ovary 0.7 x 0.6 mm; styles 2–3, filiform. Seeds vertical, c. 1 mm diam., 0.5 mm thick, testa smooth, black.
